Shishir Kumar Murarka Highlights
Amid the surging attraction and craze for electric vehicles (EVs) in the Nepalese automobile market, the upcoming NAIMA Mobility Expo 2026 is set to be dominated by cutting-edge technologies and new products.
The majority of the participating brands in the expo have prepared to prioritize advanced electric vehicles and future mobility technologies.
According to NAIMA Mobility Expo Planning Committee Member Shishir Kumar Murarka, the upcoming exhibition will feature over 55 brands across 52 stalls, alongside the debut of approximately 40 new products in the Nepalese market.
“The new product launches will be the primary attraction of this expo. Visitors will be able to experience state-of-the-art technologies, newly designed models, and future vehicle technologies all under one platform,” said Planning Committee Member Murarka.
Showcase of Futuristic Technologies and Left-Hand Drive Models
The EV market is expanding rapidly in Nepal. Keeping this in mind, the expo will provide consumers with comprehensive insights into electric vehicles, charging technologies, smart mobility solutions, and the latest designs.
According to Murarka, the exhibition will feature not just models currently available in the market, but also concept models showcasing futuristic technologies. Nepalese customers will get a close-up look at cutting-edge technologies currently developing in major automotive markets like India and China. Additionally, to offer a glimpse into the future of Nepal’s auto market, select brands are preparing to display attractive Left-Hand Drive (LHD) models.
Ideal Time for Vehicle Purchase: Low Interest Rates and One-Stop Financing
It is a traditional practice for Nepalese consumers to purchase new vehicles around festive seasons like Dashain. Since visitors can compare offers, discounts, and technologies of all brands on a single platform, the expo will help customers make well-informed decisions.
Affordable Banking Interest Rates: With banking interest rates currently remaining relatively low, customers will experience reduced financial burdens, making this the optimum time to buy a vehicle, noted Murarka.
Financing and Insurance Facilities: Banks, financial institutions, insurance companies, and exchange partners will actively participate in the expo. This will allow buyers to easily secure financing, insurance, and vehicle exchange facilities all in one convenient location.
Strong Focus on Service and Spare Parts Management
With the rising number of EVs in Nepal, concerns regarding service centers and spare parts availability are often raised. Clarifying this matter, Murarka stated that while occasional delays might occur due to border route disruptions or international shipping bottlenecks, brands are aggressively improving their service and spare parts management. He firmly asserted that no company operates with the intent of neglecting customers after a sale.
Seamless Arrangements from Parking to Digital Ticketing
Special preparations have been implemented to effectively manage visitor crowds:
Parking Management: The Blue Pavilion, located opposite Bhrikutimandap, will serve as a designated, well-organized parking site throughout the expo period.
Digital Ticketing: To eliminate long lines and hassle, digital ticketing systems have been integrated. Tickets can be conveniently purchased via ‘Khalti by IME’, while UnionPay transactions offer attractive cashback alongside special discounts for students.
The NAIMA Mobility Expo will serve as more than just a vehicle exhibition; it will be a historic platform to understand emerging automotive technologies and the future of smart mobility in Nepal.
