The Problematic Cooperative Management Committee has refunded savings to 56 additional depositors of Shiva Shikhar Cooperative.
Shiva Shikhar Cooperative Refunds Depositors
This latest payout brings the total number of Shiva Shikhar Cooperative depositors who have recovered their funds to approximately 1,400 individuals.
The initial phase of the refund initiative focuses on small savers to provide fast relief to low-income households.
The committee will continue releasing funds in structured phases, categorizing depositors based on their total savings amounts.
Asset Recovery Framework Financing The Refunds
Government authorities clarified that the refunds are financed through loan recovery campaigns and asset management proceeds from troubled cooperatives.
No separate government funds or general taxpayer revenues are being used to cover these depositor payouts.
- Loan Recoveries: Funds are collected through debt collection drives targeting default borrowers.
- Asset Disposals: Capital is raised through the management, liquidation, and sale of physical cooperative properties.
- Legal Compliance: The reimbursement process operates under prevailing legal provisions governing troubled financial institutions.
