Siddhartha Bank Declares 20 Percent Dividend for FY 2082/83

Siddhartha Bank Limited has officially proposed a dividend distribution for its ordinary and preference shareholders from the distributable profits and capital adjustment fund of Fiscal Year 2082/83.

The decision was finalized during the 482nd meeting of the bank’s Board of Directors held on Ashoj 1, 2083.

Dividend Distribution Structure

The board of directors proposed payout details across both ordinary share capital and preference share capital.

• Ordinary Share Total Dividend: 20 percent total dividend on the current paid-up capital of NPR 14,794,479,195.
• Bonus Shares Allocation: 10 percent bonus shares, valued at NPR 1,479,447,920.
• Cash Dividend Allocation: 10 percent cash dividend (inclusive of tax for bonus shares and cash dividend), valued at NPR 1,479,447,920.
• Preference Share Dividend: 8.25 percent cash dividend (inclusive of tax) totaling NPR 107,589,041 on the NPR 3.50 Billion preference share capital, distributed proportionally from the allotment date to Ashadh end, 2083.

Approval Requirement: Payouts will be distributed after endorsement from Nepal Rastra Bank and approval at the bank’s upcoming Annual General Meeting.

Financial Performance and Balance Sheet Indicators

Alongside the dividend declaration, Siddhartha Bank reported its key financial indicators and growth metrics for FY 2082/83.

• Net Profit Growth: Earned NPR 3.47 Billion in net profit, reflecting an increase of NPR 110 Million (3.32 percent growth) compared to the previous fiscal year.
• Asset Quality: Maintained non-performing loans (NPL) at 3.52 percent despite challenging market conditions.
• Paid-up Capital and Reserves: Total paid-up ordinary capital stands at NPR 14.79 Billion, preference share capital at NPR 3.50 Billion, and reserve funds at NPR 18.58 Billion as of Ashadh end, 2083.
• Net Worth per Share: Total net worth reached NPR 36.88 Billion (a growth of NPR 5.91 Billion), bringing the net worth per share to NPR 224.89 (up 2.33 percent from NPR 219.77 in the previous fiscal year).
• Earnings per Share (EPS): Reported an EPS of NPR 22.78, compared to NPR 22.76 in the prior fiscal year.
