Since 2020 has been declared as the national tourism year of Nepal, this year’s theme of Spirathon 2020 is centered around Visit Nepal 2020 i.e. Tourism. Through this event, their aim is to help the Nepalese tourism industry, contribute towards its sustainability and promote the Visit Nepal 2020 campaign.
Event Details:
Appathon: they will be selecting teams from different IT colleges to compete with each other for the winning title. Each team will be assigned a mentor 2- weeks prior to the main event. They will present their application and give a demo in the finale. Each team will be scored on different criteria by the judges. While 10 teams will be selected in the preliminary round, only 5 teams will get to pitch their application in the finale.
Panel Discussion: Besides the appathon, they will also have a panel discussion on “Tech for Tourism” where well-known personalities will be invited as panelists.
Light Travel Talks: Since this year’s theme is centered around Tourism and Visit Nepal 2020 Campaign, we will also have 2-3 travel enthusiasts sharing their personal stories.
Aspiring NextGen Award: At this year’s Spirathon, they will also be giving a very special award to a young aspiring kid. To be eligible for the Aspiring the Next Gen award, the applicant must be currently studying in school with a keen interest in Information Technology IT).
The winner will be mentored by our very own team members for the next year and get to learn closely how applications are built.
