The course ranked 501/600 globally according to Times Higher Education World Ranking-2023, spans four years, including a one-year professional placement.

The world’s increasing reliance on virtual technology and the booming global IT job market have opened doors for Nepalese students to work with international companies from their home country. This program seeks to prepare students for fulfilling careers by offering them a job-ready curriculum that aligns with the needs of the industry.

The Data Science and AI course is designed to bridge the gap between education and the IT sector. More than 100 established and emerging IT companies in the Data Science and AI domain are collaborating with Sunway College to enhance the employability and career prospects of the graduates. The college’s partnership with these companies ensures that students gain practical skills that meet industry standards.

The response to the program has been overwhelming, with over 3,000 applications received since its launch in May 2023. The college has also organized free sessions on Data Science and AI for more than 1,000 students, further demonstrating its commitment to nurturing talent in this field.

Sunway College’s collaborations extend beyond IT companies; the college has also partnered with NCC Education, UK, to provide professional courses in Data Science and AI for non-IT stream students. This move enables individuals from diverse backgrounds to transition into the IT sector.

The program covers a range of topics, including Data Analysis with Python and Advanced Data Science, enabling students to pursue careers as Data Engineers, Machine Learning Engineers, or Data Scientists upon completion.

To facilitate student participation, Sunway College has established scholarship opportunities and collaborated with organizations like Data Camp Donates to provide scholarships for the Data Fellowship 2023.
