The bank has been formed after the merging of two banks: Bageswari Development Bank based in Nepalgunj and Shangri-la Development Bank based in Pokhara. It started its operation from Ashad 30, 2074 BS.  It has 91 branches, depositors base of more than 3 lakhs customers with its Central Office at Baluwatar, Kathmandu, and Cluster Office in Pokhara, Nepalgunj, and Narayanghat.
