The road to UbuCon Asia 2025 is officially underway in Kathmandu, with the first of several Student Interaction sessions successfully held today at Liberty College.

What is UbuCon Asia?
UbuCon Asia is a volunteer-led conference uniting Ubuntu fans, developers, engineers, designers, researchers, entrepreneurs, and open-source contributors from throughout Asia. It serves as a vital platform for sharing knowledge, fostering collaboration on open-source technologies, and advancing the Ubuntu ecosystem. This year’s event in Kathmandu marks a significant milestone for the Nepalese open-source community.

The pre-conference activities are supported by ICT Frame Magazine, a prominent ICT news and education platform in Nepal, and coordinated by One Cover Pvt. Ltd., a tech organization dedicated to community and digital collaboration. GNOME Nepal and the UbuCon 2025 organizers are also affiliated, with their visual branding prominently featured across all event materials.
