In a statement issued today, the society highlighted the growing trend of using AI to create harmful propaganda that threatens peace, security, and the dignity of individuals.

The society’s statement strongly condemns the use of AI for character assassination, especially of women, and for spreading misinformation that undermines social cohesion. In its appeal, Uday Samaj urged the enlightened class, civil society, and regulatory bodies to join forces in monitoring and countering the spread of false propaganda. The statement stressed the importance of cooperation among these groups to prevent violations of personal privacy, dehumanization, and the tarnishing of reputations through AI-generated content.

The misuse of AI technology has become a growing concern worldwide, with instances of deepfakes, manipulated media, and other forms of AI-driven misinformation on the rise. Uday Samaj’s call for action underscores the need for a collective response to this emerging threat, particularly in a society where digital technologies are increasingly influential.

The society’s statement also highlights the importance of safeguarding religious tolerance and ethnic harmony, warning that the misuse of AI could exacerbate social divisions and lead to unrest. By advocating for legal measures and heightened vigilance, Uday Samaj aims to protect the values of peace and security that are vital to maintaining a stable and inclusive society.

Uday Samaj’s proactive stance calls for immediate and effective action to curb the misuse of AI and protect the integrity of individuals and communities from malicious digital activities.
