Upadhyaya, CEO of Agricultural Development Bank, became the Vice President of the Bankers’ Association
The Chief Executive Officer of Agricultural Development Bank, Anil Kumar Upadhyaya was elected Vice President of the Nepal Bankers Association. On Tuesday, Upadhyaya was elected Vice-President by the general assembly of the association.
The post was vacant in the association after Anukul Bhatnakar, who was elected vice-president from last year’s convention, left Nepal SBI Bank. Similarly, one member was vacant after Govinda Gurung, a member of the working committee, left.
Upadhyay, who was a member of the board of directors in place of Bhatnakar, was replaced by another member. Chief Executive Officer of Nepal SBI Bank Deepak Kumar Dey and Chief Executive Officer of Machhapuchhre Bank Santosh Koirala has been elected to the post in place of the outgoing Vice President Bhatnakar.
Gyanendra Dhungana is the second president of the association headed by Bhuvan Dahal. Upadhyay is the vice-chairman and Anupama Khunjeli, Janak Sharma Poudyal, Krishna Bahadur Adhikari, Ramesh Raj Aryal and Sunil KC are the other members. Anil Shah and Ashok Rana, who are also former presidents, are the advisors of the association.
