MANDIRA SHRESTHA: A 19-YEAR-OLD HEALTH ACTIVIST WON WAI WAI GLOCAL TEEN HERO NEPAL 2020
Glocal Teen Hero is the platform for teens to become aware of and honor the brilliant teens whose creativity, commitment, experience, and strong leadership has helped them to achieve success in an increasingly more difficult environment.
This award comprehends and honors the remarkable teens whose work is sustainable and who can think out of the box addressing the problems and developing the influence in society. Fostering a collaborative neighborhood amongst recipients and strengthening countrywide awareness of modern young leaders is the primary goal of the Glocal Teen Hero.
Mandira Shrestha has been awarded the title of “Wai Wai Glocal Teen Hero 2020” amidst a Virtual Award Gala organized through Glocal Pvt. Lid. It is the sixth generation of the Glocal Teen Hero Award. She came on top of amongst the top six finalists in the competition. She is a 19-year-old Health Activist from Ramechhap. She worked as the team leader of “Child-led-report on UPR, 2020”. For the winner of Glocal Teen Hero, our honorable Mr. Rameshor Ray Yadav who is the Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Security has compliments toward her success.
Eminent personalities formed the juries to select the Teen Hero 2020. They comprise Abdullah Tuncer Kececi (a general manager of Turkish Airlines), Anil Chitrakar (Social Entrepreneur), Ritu Vaidya (Leading position at VOITH), Ujjwal Shrestha (Executive Director at Panchakanya), Varan Chaudhary (Executive Director at CG Corp Global).

The three-day Glocal International Teen Conference ended effectively with the presence of teens from different nations and productive interaction, discussion, and inspiring mentorship.
