Women Leaders in Technology (WLiT) and Women Tech Makers Kathmandu organized a Global Event in Kathmandu on the occasion of International Women’s Day successfully.  Sovita Dahal Convener of Women Tech Makers Kathmandu explains that Google initiates such events by organized this type of events for women, so inspiring and creating visibility for women in STEM with activities that are impact to the community. The event at some instances will be focused on Women but both men and women are equally participating.The event includes the speaker series and different workshop.

In speaker session the CEO of Logpoint Software Ms. Mona Nyacchyon said women are not active only in house hold work but also can do better on technology field and the rapid development of tech create the great opportunity to women, she promote women to move step forward on tech. ongoing speaker session Sraddhanjail Acharya system developer at white space Pvt Ltd explain about the development of e-commerce in worldwide scenario and involvement of women on the progress of e commerce. She explains about the success story of amazon.com ebay.com worldwide and Kaymu.com, Muncha.com in the context of Nepal. At the end of the speaker session   freelance software developer Rasu Neupane presents on the purpose of program. She shares the experiences about her professional life moments and encourage women are able to perform better in any professional fields not only in tech.

In the Next second half session of program the participant learn about the Google Maps and how to add edit places in Google map for locating our areas.

 Hardware workshop session which is facilitated  by  Robotics Association  Nepal and Miss Tech Group where we can learn about different hardware devices, lights up ,blink LEDs  and ARDUINO (electronic prototyping platform to create interactive electronic objects.), In this session many student  programmers and other  peoples are involved.

The program is successfully concluded inspiring women’s to leader in in technology and promoting women that tech may be a good platform.
