WordPress Nepal is proud to unveil an exciting addition to this year’s WordCamp Kathmandu event, scheduled for September 8th and 9th, 2023, at Alice Receptions in Gairidhara, Kathmandu.
The upcoming event promises a fresh and engaging experience with the introduction of the “WP Chautari” program.
Drawing its name from the Nepali term ‘Chautari’, which traditionally refers to a serene gathering spot often situated beneath a tree, where individuals engage in relaxed discussions about daily life and contemporary matters, WP Chautari aims to create a similar atmosphere of open dialogue, collaboration, and collective engagement amongst organizers and attendees. This initiative serves to enhance the communal spirit of WordCamp Kathmandu 2023 and create a shared platform where diverse perspectives are celebrated.
The WP Chautari program debuted during a demonstration at the July 2023 Meetup organized by WordPress Kathmandu. During this showcase, the upcoming WordCamp Kathmandu 2023 took center stage, with particular emphasis on the innovative “WP Chautari” program.
The cornerstone session of WP Chautari at WordCamp Kathmandu 2023 is titled “Fostering WordPress Communities in Nepal: Tracing the Journey and Expanding Horizons.” Distinguished figures from the WordPress Nepal community, including founders, past WordCamp leads, and committed community contributors, will take the stage as guest speakers.
Attendees will be granted the unique opportunity to interact directly with these experienced contributors, addressing queries related to diverse aspects of community-building within the context of WordPress in Nepal.
Participants are also encouraged to share their valuable insights and experiences in the realm of community development.
Attendance for the WP Chautari session is limited, accommodating only 40-50 individuals on a first-come, first-served basis. The event is expected to feature guest speakers and a moderator, whose identities will be disclosed in due course.
