Xiaomi, a global technology leader, today announced that it has become the number one smartphone company in Nepal, as per leading market research firm, IDC’s Worldwide Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker, Q2 2022 release.

Amit Kumar Panda, Country General Manager – Xiaomi, Nepal said, “We are extremely thrilled to be the #1 smartphone company in Nepal for the 8th consecutive quarter as per IDC. We would like to express our gratitude to all our #MiFans, business partners, and all other stakeholders who have contributed and have become part of our beautiful journey to becoming the most popular smartphone brand in Nepal. #NoMiWthouYou #XiaomiNepal. We are humbled by the love and support that we have received from our Mi Fans and hope to continue to strive and meet all gold standards that we have set for ourselves in the future.”

The brand witnessed significant growth in the market owing to the launch of multiple products across price segments such as the Redmi 10 series, Redmi 11 series, Redmi 12 series, etc. It also launched more than 30 new ecosystem products in Nepal including Mi Watch Lite, TV Stick, Trimmer, Band 6, Sonic Bass Wireless earphones, Power banks, Portable Speaker, Mi pad 5, Air purifier 3, MI Portable electric compressor, Xiaomi watch S1 active and now Redmi Bud 3 Lite.

In addition, the offline expansion contributed to the overall growth of the brand. Today, strengthening its presence in Nepal, Xiaomi has set up 12 authorized stores and 18 service centers across the country. The company currently holds a strong distribution network across locations in Nepal. They have also fortified their position in the market with robust after-sales service through exclusive authorized service centers as well as a dedicated service warehouse to fulfill customer requirements in Nepal. This has helped Xiaomi to build a bigger share in the market than last quarter.
