This programme was part of the company’s effort to get on-ground and for the leadership teams to interact with the potential partner drivers, all while extending the earning opportunities that Yango is offering to the residents of Chitwan.
The service presented income options via the app for partner drivers and demonstrated an opportunity to earn up to NPR 100,000 per month, depending on working hours and demand.
The event took place across three locations in Chitwan and brought together prospective partner drivers interested in joining the platform and taking orders in Kathmandu. It was also attended by the Country Manager of Yango Ride in Nepal, Santosh Pandey, along with senior officials from the HQ and local teams.
Attendees were welcomed with an engaging, community-first experience that included driver registration and onboarding sessions, interactive games and activities, and generous giveaways — including fuel cards, branded bags, caps, and other merchandise — as well as food stalls, making the event both informative and celebratory.
Santosh Pandey, Country Manager for Yango in Nepal, stated: “This event is a reflection of our commitment to the people of Nepal. We believe that opportunity should not be limited by geography. By hosting this event for the first time outside of Kathmandu and in Chitwan, we are opening a door for hardworking drivers across the country to access the earning potential that comes with being part of the Yango platform.
He further added: “This invitation goes beyond Chitwan, and we welcome anyone across Nepal to come to the capital and reach out to any partner office if they want to avail this earning opportunity. Also, this is only just the beginning – we aim to expand services across all major cities of Nepal and will work tirelessly until we get there.”
This marked a significant step for Yango’s mission to expand the scope of earning opportunities for Nepali citizens beyond the capital. For many residents of Chitwan, this represents a life-changing earning opportunity, backed by a trusted global platform and a clear pathway to financial independence.
Nepal’s ride-hailing sector is growing rapidly, and Yango Ride has been at the forefront of this transformation in Kathmandu. By expanding its outreach to Chitwan, the company is actively working to broaden access to earning opportunities in the gig economy. This model offers flexible working hours, independence, and competitive earnings for Nepali citizens.
