Yashoda Group Donates NPR 3.81 Crores

In a significant show of corporate social responsibility, Yashoda Group Industries Pvt. Ltd.—through its subsidiaries Yashoda Foods Pvt. Ltd. and Shree Ram Tobacco Pvt. Ltd.—has extended substantial financial and material assistance to aid victims of the recent catastrophic Bhote Koshi River flooding in Rasuwa.

The group has contributed NPR 3.51 crore to the Government of Nepal’s Disaster Relief Fund, along with NPR 30 lakh worth of immediate food supplies.

Financial Contribution to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund

To support the government’s rescue, relief, and rehabilitation initiatives, Yashoda Group handed over a cheque of NPR 3,51,51,000 (Three Crore Fifty-One Lakh Fifty-One Thousand Rupees) to Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle.

The ceremonial handover was jointly conducted by Yashoda Group President Kamal Kishore Malpani and Chairman Chunna Prasad Sharma. The donated funds will directly support the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund, assisting families affected by the localized flooding and infrastructure damage in the Rasuwa district.

Direct On-the-Ground Food Relief

Alongside the monetary donation, the company dispatched emergency food supplies valued at NPR 30 lakh, consisting of its flagship product, Current Noodles.

The relief materials were distributed directly to flood victims and displaced citizens in shelter camps across the hardest-hit regions, including:

Local authorities and aid distribution teams facilitated the handoff to ensure immediate relief reached those in emergency shelters.

Ongoing Commitment to Disaster Recovery

Yashoda Group Industries has stated its readiness to send additional food supplies and emergency assistance if required by local authorities.
