Zap, a pioneering financial services platform of Unlimited Remit, is dedicated to empowering individuals at the bottom of the economic pyramid through innovative and inclusive solutions.

With a mission to enhance financial literacy and accessibility, Zap simplifies digital cash management, making financial transactions seamless and dignified for everyone.

The first batch of Nepalese migrant workers heading to the UAE symbolizes the start of a transformative journey in collaboration with Pioneer Overseas Pvt. Ltd, a manpower agency supplying human resources to companies in the UAE; and Virgin Mobile, the leading telecom and cellular provider in UAE.

Each worker leaving from Nepal will receive a Virgin Mobile SIM card or eSIM at a very subsidized rate, ensuring they remain connected with their loved ones as soon as they land. They also enjoy complimentary data upon signing up, with additional free data provided for every remittance sent home via Zap.

To further support their transition, comprehensive orientation sessions will equip workers with digital and financial literacy skills, empowering them to confidently navigate their new environment and make the most of modern financial tools.

One of the critical challenges faced by workers earning below AED 5,000 is the difficulty in opening a bank account in the UAE due to the commercial banks not agreeing to open bank accounts for them, high fees, and lengthy processes.

Zap bridges this gap by providing every worker with a secure bank account before their departure. This ensures salaries are deposited safely and enables effortless money transfers to their families with just a few taps on their phones.

Zap’s initiative not only addresses communication and financial barriers but also uplifts workers by promoting financial inclusion and dignity, giving them and their families peace of mind.
