Nepal Certifying Company, the Management Partner of only Issuing Certifying Authority in Nepal conducted an awareness program on Digital Signatures at Butwal Multiple Campus (BMC) organized by the IT students of BMC. In the event, the participants were the CSIT Students of Butwal Multiple Campus along with the Faculty Members.

The event was held under the supervision of Ananta Pandey, faculty member of Cryptography in BMC. The speaker of the event Mr. Kishan Pandey presented the usages and scope of the digital signature. In addition, the practice of digital signatures for authentication, data integrity and confidentiality were demonstrated which helped enthusiastic participants explore new technologies in information security.

Another speaker of the event Mr. Kushal Prasad Gaihre noted that Digital Signatures are too useful in the context of Nepal. Further, legally and technically, they proved to be a boon for the existing problems of information management system in Nepal. The event ended with a discussion on the current scenario of Digital Signature in Nepal in which Mr. Pandey described the Electronic Transaction Acts, Roles of a CA and Legal Binding of Digital Signatures.
