Mr. Rajan Raj Pant is the founder & Chairman of Information Security Emergency Team of Nepal (INSERT-NP) the first and only one CERT/CSIRT community of Nepal. He will represent Nepal as one of the speakers and panellist for this “Workshop Information Security Education; Solidarity ISES, Daejeon”.

The 23rd World Computer Congress Daejeon was held at South Korea on 4th October to 7th October in the topic on Information Security Education & Solidarity (ISES).  In this program, Mr Pant will discuss the measures to improve ICT security readiness that will lead to global minimum-security standards compliance.

This is a Joint IFIP TC3 and UNESCO Participation Program to provide a platform for discussion on ICT Security by experts from different countries and different advancement. The Information Security Workshop on the topics of Information Security Education & Solidarity ISES is the leading discussion forum for interdisciplinary scholarship on information security awareness and privacy, combining expertise from the areas of economics, social sciences, businesses, laws, policies, and computer science.

ISES also facilitates debates and dialogues on IT security concerns, IT security models of developed countries for support and generation of implementation strategies. This program will include presentations from influential people in IT along with debates and discussions.

Some of the discussions that will take place in this program include:

  1. IT security and its current situation in developing countries
  2. identifying the actual policies/strategies in place
  3. identifying models for implementation
  4. identifying challenges being faced in implementation
  5. key concepts for further discussions.
