The 4th edition of FPGA Design Competition is going to held in Kathford International College of Engineering and Management, Balkumari Lalitpur as the continuation of “FPGA Design Competition,” a yearly event. The themes of competition are open, enthusiast having any project on FPGA are eligible for the game. This competition is co-organized by Kathford International College of Engineering and Management, Digitronix Nepal and LogicTronix.
The main objective of the competition is to promote the “Research and Development” environment in Nepal in the electronics hardware design so that number of opportunities can be generated on this field. The FPGA chip technology is used on a smartphone, telecom to satellite for processing a different kind of signal at high speed. The application of FPGA technology is increasing, so enthusiast from Nepalhaving skillset on the FPGA design can get the global opportunity.
The registration of the competition has been opened on June 15-July 23. The Final Demonstration & Prize Distribution is scheduled at Saturday, August 3, 2019 (Shrawn 18,2076). The first prize of the competition is NRs. 12,000, Second prize is of NRs. 7000 and third prize is of NRs. 4000. All the winner will also get Training on FPGA design which will be equivalent to NRs. 4,000 amounts.
The participant can Compete with any project on FPGA, VHDL, Verilog, Modelsim, System Generator using any tools on FPGA design. While FPGA board implementation is not mandatory, so the simulation-based design can also Compete & Win!
