What is VayuDrishti? Turning Air Pollution Data Into Action
Developed by 20-year-old Nepalese innovator Shakriya Pandey, Nepal’s AI Climate-Tech VayuDrishti is an advanced, AI-powered environmental intelligence platform. The system is specifically engineered to tackle the growing crisis of air pollution by making invisible atmospheric threats visible, understandable, and actionable.
The platform seamlessly integrates three core pillars:
IoT Air Quality Sensors: Deploying hyper-local hardware to capture real-time, ground-level data.
Satellite Data Integration: Monitoring wide-scale atmospheric changes from orbit.
AI Analytics: Processing complex environmental datasets to predict pollution trends and offer actionable health and policy insights.
A Milestone for Nepalese Innovation on the Global Stage
This global UN recognition underscores a shifting paradigm: innovative solutions built within Nepal are fully capable of addressing massive global challenges across climate action, public health, and sustainable urban development.
For the young team behind VayuDrishti, being featured in the UN DESA publication serves as a massive validation of their engineering capabilities and a powerful catalyst to continue building world-class technology from Nepal, for the world.
