Siddhartha Bank School Reconstruction Rukum West Project Completed

In a major boost to post-earthquake rehabilitation and community development, Siddhartha Bank Limited has officially completed and handed over the newly reconstructed building of Shri Janapriya Basic School located in Bhandarvan, Sanibheri Rural Municipality Ward No. 1, Rukum West (Karnali Province).

The original school infrastructure was severely damaged during the devastating earthquake that struck the region on November 3, 2023 (Kartik 17, 2080 BS). Recognizing the urgent need for a safe learning environment, Siddhartha Bank stepped in to fully fund the reconstruction project, which also features a modern, fully accessible disable-friendly toilet facility.
The newly built facility was formally inaugurated and handed over to the school’s Principal, Mr. Hansa Bahadur Khadka, by Siddhartha Bank’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr. Rameshwar Prasad Basyal, amid a special ceremony held on the school premises.

Addressing the gathering, CEO Rameshwar Prasad Basyal highlighted that the initiative goes far beyond erecting a physical structure. He emphasized that it represents a shared commitment toward post-disaster rehabilitation, securing the future of young children, and transforming society through quality education.
