The community event witnessed enthusiastic participation from approximately 1500 cyclists. This massive turnout highlights the expanding public support for sustainable transportation and localized environmental awareness.
Tracing the 14-Kilometer Cycling Route Across Kathmandu Valley
The structured cycling rally commenced early in the morning from Alice Reception located in Gairidhara. The riders followed a comprehensive 14-kilometer route that navigated through several high-traffic commercial and historical hubs across the capital city.
The route guided the participants smoothly through Narayanchaur, Darbar Marg, Sundhara, and Tripureshwar before heading toward the Maitighar Mandala. From there, the cyclists pressed onward through New Baneshwor, Old Baneshwor, Gaushala, and Ratopul.
The final legs of the journey took the crowd past Jain Bhawan, Naxal Bhagwati, and Bhatbhateni. The riders also passed directly by the Shangri-la Development Bank Central Office in Baluwatar before concluding back at the starting point in Gairidhara.
Enthusiastic Participation and Official Lucky Draw Awards
The gathered assembly of cyclists was formally welcomed at the venue by Lisa Sherchan, an active Board Member of Shangri-la Development Bank Limited.
To add an element of excitement to the environmental campaign, the organizers conducted a promotional lucky draw segment for all registered riders. During the ceremony, participant Anju Parajuli won a brand-new bicycle.
