NC-ITSIFM-2026 National Conference
Held at the college’s Seminar Hall in Lalitpur, the landmark, day-long event brought together leading academics, researchers, scholars, and industry professionals to explore how artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and digital tools are reshaping the future of financial ecosystems through the lenses of innovation and sustainability.
The milestone event marked Academia International College’s first-ever national conference, signaling its growing commitment to cultivating a vibrant institutional research culture.
Delivering the welcome address, Dr. Rajan Bilas Bajracharya, Head of the RMC, emphasized that modern higher education must extend beyond traditional classroom instruction. “Integrating emerging technologies like AI, blockchain, fintech, and big data with sustainable financial practices is essential for creating transparent, efficient, resilient, and inclusive financial systems,” Dr. Bajracharya stated, highlighting research’s critical role in steering public policy and national development.
The conference featured an international and local governance bridge through its Chief Guests: Prof. Dr. Gyan Pradhan of Christopher Newport University, USA, who provided global insights on FinTech and AI trends, and Kul Bahadur Maharjan, Chairman of Lalitpur Metropolitan City–7, who discussed the practical execution of sustainable financial management at the municipal level.
NC-ITSIFM-2026 unfolded across a strategic intellectual arc, beginning with three high-level keynote addresses mapping the future of digital finance:
Organizational Level: Campus Chief Rajesh Prasad Shrestha on leveraging AI and FinTech for institutional excellence.
Systems Level: Prof. Jeetendra Dangol, PhD, on directing digital tools toward building resilient, inclusive financial ecosystems.
Governance Level: Prof. Subarna Shakya, PhD, on framing digital governance as the connective tissue between technology adoption and sustainable financial outcomes.
The afternoon session transitioned into three parallel technical tracks where scholars presented 20 rigorously selected research papers. The presentations spanned an incredibly diverse, cross-disciplinary spectrum—ranging from digital financial literacy among senior citizens and the psychological herding behavior of youth stock market investors, to highly technical computational systems like machine learning-based SSH intrusion detection and automated public transit route-finding algorithms for the Kathmandu Valley.
The day concluded with a formal Valedictory Session emceed by Academic Head Bishwa Mathema, featuring participant reflections, certificate distributions, and a vote of thanks delivered by Sunita Shrestha. By bridging the widening gap between rapid technological acceleration and academic research, NC-ITSIFM-2026 has set a benchmark for future collaborative inquiry and academic excellence in Eastern Nepal’s educational landscape.
