The Government of Nepal has decided to cancel all official programs and celebrations scheduled for the 23rd Civil Service Day in light of the severe loss of life, ongoing search and rescue operations, and widespread disaster caused by flooding in the Bhotekoshi River and Rasuwa region.

Day of National Mourning: The government declared a day of national mourning to honor civilian and civil servant lives lost during the floods, redirecting all administrative focus toward emergency search, rescue, and rehabilitation efforts.

Reallocation of Event Funds: Official directives instruct relevant authorities to halt all program-related expenditure and transfer the budget allocated for Civil Service Day directly into the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund.
