ADBL New Chairperson Pandey Takes Oath of Office at NRB

Tanka Prasad Pandey has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Board of Directors of Agricultural Development Bank Limited (ADBL). The decision was finalized during a recent meeting of the bank’s board of directors.

Extensive Experience in Civil Service

The newly appointed Chairman, Pandey, brings a wealth of experience to the institution. He has served in the civil service for nearly 25 years, holding key positions across various government bodies, including significant roles in the economic sector.

His deep understanding of administrative and financial systems is expected to steer the state-owned commercial bank toward further growth.

Oath of Office Taken at Nepal Rastra Bank

In accordance with the Bank and Financial Institutions Act (BAFIA), the newly selected chairman of a commercial bank must take the oath of office before the Governor of the central bank.

Following this regulatory requirement, Chairman Pandey took the oath of office and secrecy today.

NRB Director Meera Talchabhadel and Board Secretary Sharan Kumar Adhikari were also in attendance.

Representing the Agricultural Development Bank, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Govinda Gurung and Company Secretary & Spokesperson Him Lall Pouydel attended the ceremony to welcome the new leadership.
