Kantipur City College, affiliated to Purbanchal University is well known to host multiple workshops related to the field of Information Technology with an aim to bring together specialists, students and enthusiasts related to the field of IT.

The college offers Master of Computer Application (MCA), which is a two-year course equivalent to 66 credit hours. The degree of MCA allows the graduates to be involved in developing a wide array of competent businesses, software and computer networking ideas alike. The students are able to apply their theoretical concepts of software and web-based application designing that allows them to be competent in the global market of Information Technology.

Moreover, the degree consists of fields like web technology, data mining, DBMS, algorithm analysis and designing, project management, software development, networking and many more. The MCA graduates attain real-time evaluation skills of the current scenario of the field of IT and can become top-ranked business personnel.

To qualify for the MCA course, a student must have a Bachelor’s degree in the field of IT, namely Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA), Bachelor of Computer Engineering (BE Computer), BSc. CSIT, Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) and others alike. Students not related to the field of IT can apply for the program by taking up a one-year Post-Graduate Diploma in Computer Application.

The final semester involves students in a series of seminars and industry-based projects. In addition, the project is offered under the scrutiny of the company and academic advisor.
