Two people, including an Indian national, have recently been arrested by the police for reportedly cheating on depositing money. Among those arrested are Rakesh Kumar, 43 of the district of East Champaran in Bihar, and Ram Pukar Prasad Yadav, 32 of Birgunj Metropolitan City-10 in Parsa.
They said that they had won the lottery through Emo and WhatsApp and had to deposit Rs 2 lakh from their bank account and e-sewa.

According to the police, the number of fraudulent calls from different international numbers on mobile phones, messengers, Viber, and WhatsApp has increased.
The police have requested not to be tempted if the call comes from a foreign or unknown number and if anyone contacts the messenger with the mentioned behavior.
“We request you not to make any such transaction, and if you receive such a call, you should immediately lodge a complaint with the nearest police station,” the Metropolitan Crime Branch said in a statement.
