Arun Chaudhary Foundation Pledges 10.1 Million Rupees and 112.2 Million Worth Scholarships for Bhotekoshi Flood Victims

The Arun Chaudhary Foundation has announced a comprehensive support package and scholarship initiative valued at 112.2 million rupees to assist victims and communities impacted by the Bhotekoshi floods.

Educational Scholarship Program and Funding
Target Recipients: Full educational scholarships will be awarded to 40 students from displaced families who lost their homes, property, and primary livelihoods in the disaster.
Expenditure Scope: The scholarships cover all academic expenses, including full tuition, textbooks, uniforms, transportation, and daily meals. Complete hostel accommodation will be provided for five students.
Partner Academic Institutions:
- Kathmandu World School: Scholarships totaling 101.1 million rupees allocated for 30 students.
- Premier College: Scholarships worth 10 million rupees provided to 10 students.
Academic Commitment Subtotal: The educational scholarship package accounts for 111.1 million rupees of the total pledged funding.

Disaster Relief Fund Cash Contribution
Direct Financial Deposit: The foundation handed over a total of 10.1 million rupees to Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle for deposit into the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund.
Employee Contributions: 1.475 million rupees of the relief fund contribution was raised via voluntary single-day salary contributions from foundation staff.
Institutional Mobilization: 8.624 million rupees was generated through institutional contributions across affiliated corporate sectors.
Aggregate Financial Package: Combining direct cash assistance, emergency relief, and full academic scholarships, the total commitment from the foundation reaches 112.2 million rupees.
