Nepali-origin entrepreneur Aruna Adhikari has founded KairosHelix, a U.S.-based clinical technology company focused on transforming how the life sciences industry captures, connects, and applies knowledge generated through clinical trials.

Clinical trials produce vast amounts of protocols, reports, operational data, and expert decisions. However, critical knowledge often remains fragmented across multiple systems, limiting the ability of researchers and organizations to effectively learn from previous trials and apply those insights to future studies.

KairosHelix is developing technology designed to address this challenge by combining artificial intelligence, statistics, and evidence-based systems to transform accumulated clinical-trial knowledge into actionable intelligence. The company’s approach emphasizes the preservation of underlying evidence and human oversight, particularly in decisions involving regulated and high-stakes clinical research.

The company has already established a 25-member team, developed a working clinical-trial intelligence platform, and initiated commercial engagements with contract research organizations (CROs) and biotechnology companies. KairosHelix has also filed 11 provisional patent applications covering areas including clinical-trial planning, site recommendation, synthetic data, and regulated artificial intelligence.

The company’s vision is shaped by Adhikari’s multidisciplinary experience across mathematics, engineering, enterprise technology and clinical research. After leaving Nepal for the United States at the age of 16, she pursued her interest in mathematics and technology, eventually working across fields that brought her closer to the complexities of clinical research.

In 2024, Adhikari was recognized in the PharmaVOICE 100 for her work in technology and artificial intelligence, further highlighting her contribution to the intersection of technology and life sciences.

Her experience in the field led to a key observation that became central to KairosHelix’s mission: while clinical trials systematically document what happened, the knowledge and reasoning behind why critical decisions were made are not always captured in a way that can be effectively reused.

KairosHelix is now working to bridge that gap by developing systems that enable clinical research organizations to retain, connect, and learn from knowledge accumulated across studies.

With its roots in Adhikari’s journey from Nepal to the United States, KairosHelix aims to contribute to the next generation of clinical research by helping the industry move toward a model in which knowledge from past trials can be systematically transformed into intelligence for future studies.
