The Bagmati state government has launched five scientific research programs. The state government has also assisted by selecting five subjects encouraging the youths to do various scientific researches in the state.
Intending to bring a new dimension to scientific research and investigation, the Bagmati State Government has implemented the New Manager Young Scientist Incentive Program.
The state government has formed a committee, including establishing a young scientific incentive fund to run the program and selecting five topics, including working procedures.
Gopal Kandel, chief of the youth and sports division at the Ministry of Social Development, said that the state government has called for applications for the incentive program in the second phase.

The ministry has given financial assistance to investigate the conversion of petrol and diesel safari vehicles to observe forests and wildlife in national parks into electric vehicles.
The ministry has reached an agreement with the team of Basanta Ale and Dipesh Budhathoki to provide financial assistance of Rs.19 lakh 98 thousand 745.
The team will investigate in Chitwan National Park. The investigation should be completed within 8 months from the date of signing the agreement.
Similarly, to increase the production capacity of red mushrooms found in hilly areas, the ministry sent Prabesh Pokharel, Samiksha Giri, and Padma Raj Awasthi to investigate the use of the technology, and financial assistance of Rs.34 lakh 94 thousand 301 has been provided.
Red mushrooms are produced in the hilly areas of Nepal and sold at high prices.
The ministry is researching producing enzymes in local fish ponds, which are considered important in fish farming.
For this, financial assistance of Rs.7 million 54 thousand 805 has been given, and permission has been given to complete the research in the next year and a half.
It is said that Rojina Thapa’s team is researching the production of the enzyme in the local pond to change the water while fish farming and increase the production of fewer grains.
The enzyme has to be imported from India and other countries so that it will be economically expensive.
The ministry said that research is underway to produce the enzyme-producing bacteria in the local pond.
Research has also started for the natural herbs found in the Bagmati region, their introduction, chemical elements found in them, and their use in medicine production and treatment.
The ministry has stated that the investigation work has been started by providing financial assistance of Rs.69 lakh 67 thousand 569 to Bhuwan Gurung’s team to prepare the factual list and make it public through the website.
The ministry has agreed to complete the investigation within two years.
Similarly, the Ministry has asked Dr.Parakram Parajuli’s team has started the work by providing financial assistance of Rs.1.522 million.

By modifying the proposal as suggested by the expert, the committee will allow the researcher to conduct the investigation and agree with the committee and the ministry.
As soon as the agreement is reached, timely research will be started on the proposal, and the researcher should complete the research work within the stipulated time.
The details of the expenses incurred in the investigation submitted by the researcher and the cost as per the bill are borne by the Ministry.
