Chandraprasad Dhakal, the President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), was honored by the Western Development Forum in recognition of his remarkable contributions to the country’s economic development.
Chandraprasad Dhakal Honored
Dhakal, who hails from the Western Development Region of Nepal, was celebrated for his journey from the region to becoming the leader of FNCCI, a prominent umbrella organization for Nepali businesses.
The honor was presented during a ceremony held in Kathmandu on the occasion of the Forum’s Annual General Assembly. Former Chief Justice Kalyan Raj Sharma presented the award to President Dhakal.
Dhakal’s leadership in the institutional development of the Western Development Forum, where he previously served as Chairman, was also acknowledged. The Forum recognized his invaluable contributions in strengthening the organization and promoting development initiatives in the region.
Several distinguished personalities, including Chief Secretary Ek Narayan Aryal and Chief of Army Staff Ashok Raj Sigdel, were also honored at the event.
The Western Development Forum was established to promote the development of the Western Region of Nepal. Even though Nepal has transitioned into a federal system, the Forum continues to honor individuals born in the region who have achieved high positions in national life. This tradition emphasizes the ongoing importance of the region in the nation’s growth and development.
