CRDF Global is convening a  web-based training to protect against state-sponsored cyber-attacks on financial institutions, such as attacks from the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) on  March 18 and 19 at 9:30 AM-12:30 PM GMT+5.45. This training is tailored for managers, network administrators, and cybersecurity personnel from financial institutions, cybersecurity firms, and the central bank in Nepal. Please find the flyer attached for reference and additional information. Additionally, those who attend both workshop sessions will be presented with a certificate of completion on behalf of CRDF Global and our implementing partner demonstrating you completed the workshop.

The training will be conducted over Zoom and will require access to a computer with a reliable, broadband Internet connection. You can download the Zoom application for free or attend the meetings through your browser. You can register for free  online by clicking the link below. Countering DPRK Cyber Threats: An Interactive Virtual Training for Financial Institutions in Nepal  

The training will provide a basic understanding of how  North Korea conducts cyber thefts and attacks against financial institutions. DPRK-affiliated cyber threat actors are actively targeting financial institutions around the globe and have committed financial crimes on an unprecedented scale. Using a hands-on training approach, this interactive training will help you understand the threat posed by these groups and better prepare your organization to prevent and detect associated attacks.
