Pitambar Bhandari Appointed as CEO of Deposit and Credit Guarantee Fund (DCGF)

Pitambar Bhandari has been appointed as the CEO of the Deposit and Credit Guarantee Fund (DCGF). Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle handed over the appointment letter.

The Government of Nepal has appointed Pitambar Bhandari as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Deposit and Credit Guarantee Fund (DCGF).

The Cabinet meeting held on Tuesday decided to appoint Bhandari to the top executive role, following the recommendation of the Ministry of Finance.

Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle officially handed over the appointment letter to the newly appointed CEO Bhandari during a program held at the Ministry on Wednesday.

While extending best wishes for a successful tenure, Finance Minister Wagle instructed him to remain fully committed to enhancing the institution’s integrity and securing public deposits.

With new leadership taking charge of DCGF, a key institution in Nepal’s financial architecture responsible for safeguarding deposits and credit guarantees, financial stability and deposit protection mechanisms are expected to be further strengthened.
