10,000 citizens have obtained a permanent account number (PAN) in three months.

Asghar Ali, the Prime Minister’s Office’s chief IT advisor, said in a digital discussion on Saturday that 10,000 people had obtained the PAN from the Nagarik app.

Similarly, plans have been made to open a bank account through the Nagarik app. These are two examples of success in the Nagarik app, he said. Adding that more features are being added based on that success.

On January 15, the Nagarik app was released as a beta edition. And the full version was released on May 2 on the occasion of National Information and Communication Technology Day.
