Popular Nepali singer Durgesh Thapa has recorded a song for the upcoming movie Karma. The film, directed and written by Saurabh Chaudhary, features Durgesh’s voice on one of its key tracks. Durgesh confirmed his contribution to the movie’s soundtrack through social media.

The song was recorded recently, and the music video was shot on Sunday. The video features the main actors of the movie, including Bipin Karki, Upasana Singh Thakuri, and Mukun Bhusal. According to the film’s production team, the song will be released shortly. It will be included in the movie, which is set to be released on Chaitra 29 (April 11, 2025), marking the New Year 2082.
Besides Durgesh’s track, the film will also feature another song, “Pagal Pagal Jastai,” sung by Sushant KC. This marks Sushant KC’s debut as a playback singer for a film. The production team filmed the video for this song a few days ago. Sushant wrote, composed, and performed the song himself. He has a massive following, especially among the youth, and his music is widely popular, with many of his songs garnering millions of views on YouTube.
Karma also stars Mukun Bhusal, Dibyadeb, Sarita Giri, Ben Basnet, Sujan Silwal, Anil Budhathoki, and Nirmal Sharma, adding to its star power. The movie is an action-packed drama with elements of suspense and thrill. The story of the film was written by Saurabh Chaudhary, who also directed it.

The movie’s international distribution rights have been secured by Seven Seas Cinemas. The soundtrack is directed by Bhaskar Swarn, with Kabiraj Gahatraj handling choreography. The film also features Sameer Miya for visual effects (VFX), Uttam Nyaupane for the background score, and Vijay Basyal for publicity design. Rajendra Moktan worked as the colorist, while Taranath Nyaupane is the chief assistant director.
The production is backed by Artistic Entertainment and Basant Lamsal. Director Saurabh Chaudhary’s previous movie, Agastya: Chapter 1, received praise from both audiences and critics, raising expectations for Karma.
