Everest Bank Contributes Over Rs 3.11 Crore For Bhote Koshi Flood Relief

Everest Bank and its staff have donated NPR 3.11 Crore to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund and provided essential supplies to support Bhote Koshi flood victims.

In a strong show of corporate social responsibility and national solidarity, Everest Bank Limited has stepped forward to assist citizens severely impacted by the recent devastating floods in the Bhote Koshi River.
The bank, in collaboration with its dedicated workforce, has contributed over NPR 3.11 Crore to the Government of Nepal’s “Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund” to accelerate rescue, relief, and long-term rehabilitation operations.

Total Financial Contribution: NPR 3,11,54,605.38
Everest Bank CSR Allocation: NPR 2,51,00,000 (Rs 2.51 Crore)
Employee Voluntary Contribution: NPR 60,54,605.38 (Over Rs 60 Lakh)
Additional Support: Essential physical relief materials collected by bank staff for immediate frontline distribution.
A Unified Approach: Corporate and Employee Action
Understanding the urgent need for both financial backing and physical resources during this crisis, Everest Bank adopted a comprehensive approach. While the bank’s management allocated a substantial NPR 25.1 million from its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) fund, the employees proactively launched a voluntary fundraising campaign, collecting an additional NPR 6.05 million.
The combined funds have been formally deposited into the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund to support the government’s nationwide response to the disaster.
Beyond financial aid, Everest Bank employees also organized a collection drive for essential relief materials. These urgently needed supplies have been handed over directly to the relevant local authorities, ensuring they reach the flood-stricken communities and the most vulnerable Nepalese citizens quickly.
