Everest Bank Q4 Profit Climbs to Nearly NPR 5.07 Billion, Distributable Profit Increases 13 Percent
5th August 2026, Kathmandu
Everest Bank Limited has published its fourth-quarter financial results for the fiscal year 2025/26, reporting positive growth in net profit and distributable earnings while maintaining solid asset quality across its portfolio.
Everest Bank Q4 Profit Climbs
According to the unaudited Q4 financial statements released by the commercial bank, net profit reached nearly NPR 5.07 billion.
This represents a 4.75 percent year-on-year increase compared to approximately NPR 4.84 billion earned in the previous fiscal year.
However, the earnings per share of the bank recorded a slight decline due to an expansion in the paid-up capital base during the financial year.
Net Interest Income and Operating Revenue Growth
The core interest income of Everest Bank improved steadily, rising from NPR 9.10 billion in the prior fiscal year to over NPR 9.19 billion during the review period.
Non-interest revenue streams also demonstrated strong growth momentum:
- Net Fee and Commission Income: Increased from NPR 1.53 billion to NPR 1.95 billion
- Total Operating Income: Expanded by 6.21 percent to reach NPR 11.86 billion, compared to NPR 11.17 billion in the prior year
- Operating Profit: Remained stable at NPR 7.38 billion, holding steady relative to previous performance
The increase in total operating income was supported by steady lending activity and expanding digital and transaction banking services.
Distributable Profit Rises Nearly 13 Percent
A major highlight of the fourth-quarter report is the substantial rise in distributable earnings.
Everest Bank recorded a 12.98 percent growth in distributable profit, climbing from NPR 4.05 billion to over NPR 4.58 billion.
The expansion in distributable profit enhances the bank’s capacity for potential dividend distribution to shareholders, subject to regulatory oversight by Nepal Rastra Bank and approval at the annual general meeting.
Earnings Per Share and Key Financial Ratios
Despite higher overall net profit, the earnings per share of Everest Bank edged down slightly from NPR 37.39 to NPR 36.95.
This marginal decrease in per-share earnings was primarily driven by the increase in paid-up capital following recent bonus share distributions.
Key operational and asset quality metrics include:
- Non-Performing Loan Ratio: Increased slightly from 0.38 percent to 0.49 percent, remaining among the lowest in Nepal’s commercial banking sector
- Base Rate: Declined noticeably from 5.36 percent to 4.25 percent, contributing to reduced borrowing costs for credit customers
- Net Worth Per Share: Closed at NPR 256.47 at the end of the fourth quarter
Expansion in Capital Base, Lending, and Customer Deposits
Everest Bank further reinforced its balance sheet strength and market presence across Nepal during the fiscal year.
The bank’s paid-up capital increased from NPR 12.94 billion to NPR 13.72 billion, while its reserve fund reached NPR 15.72 billion by the end of the fourth quarter.
Core lending and deposit collection operations showed steady double-digit expansion:
- Total Loans and Advances: Grew from NPR 213.43 billion to NPR 235.56 billion, reflecting expanded credit delivery to commercial, industrial, and personal sectors
- Total Customer Deposits: Increased from NPR 298.81 billion to more than NPR 316.01 billion, demonstrating strong public trust and effective liquidity management
