Global IME Reports Profit Growth
The commercial bank’s net profit increased by 22.67 percent year-on-year, rising from Rs 5.08 billion in the previous fiscal year to more than Rs 6.22 billion during the review period.
Net Interest Income Declines Slightly
Despite higher overall profitability, the bank’s net interest income experienced a slight decline of 2.86 percent, falling from Rs 16.68 billion to Rs 16.20 billion.
However, fee-based income recorded healthy growth during the financial year, with net fee and commission income increasing from Rs 3.22 billion to Rs 3.64 billion to help support total earnings.
Operating Income and Profit Expansion
Global IME Bank’s total operating income expanded by 2.61 percent during the review period, reaching over Rs 21.80 billion compared to Rs 21.25 billion reported in the prior fiscal year.
Driven by stronger non-interest revenues and operational controls, operating profit surged by 20 percent, climbing from Rs 7.23 billion to Rs 8.68 billion.
The bank’s distributable profit also improved, rising from Rs 4.05 billion to Rs 4.58 billion, which strengthens its potential dividend distribution capacity for shareholders.
Per Share Metrics and Asset Quality Indicators
The bank reported an improvement in Earnings Per Share, which increased from Rs 13.32 to Rs 16.34 per share.
Meanwhile, asset quality metrics showed a minor shift as the Non-Performing Loan ratio edged up slightly from 4.86 percent to 4.96 percent.
On the interest rate front, the bank’s base rate declined from 5.76 percent to 4.75 percent, while the net worth per share stood at Rs 183.14 at the end of the fourth quarter.

Global IME Bank maintained steady business volume growth and portfolio expansion throughout the fiscal year.
