A high-level international delegation comprising top officials from the Government of Norway and representatives from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) conducted an official monitoring visit to the Paropakar Maternity and Women’s Hospital in Kathmandu.

The official program, hosted at the hospital’s Library Hall, commenced with a warm welcome to the distinguished international guests. A central highlight of the event was an in-depth institutional presentation delivered by Hospital Director Dr. Shree Prasad Adhikari.
During his presentation, Hospital Director Dr. Shree Prasad Adhikari detailed the historic legacy of the institution, its comprehensive service statistics, and its pioneering initiatives in Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR).
He specifically highlighted the operational achievements of:
The One-Stop Crisis Management Center (OCMC)
The Maternal and Perinatal Death Surveillance and Response (MPDSR) program
The Midwife-Led Antenatal Clinic and Birthing Center
The specialized Human Milk Bank facility
Following the presentation, an interactive question-and-answer session allowed the delegation to dive deeper into operational protocols. Hospital Director Dr. Shree Prasad Adhikari, alongside the Deputy Director and the OCMC Consultant, provided detailed, technical responses to queries regarding sustainability, patient care standards, and resource optimization.

The delegation conducted an on-site walkthrough of the OCMC Unit to witness how the hospital handles sensitive cases involving gender-based violence and reproductive health crises.
Dr. Sapana Amatya Vaidya, along with the dedicated OCMC team, guided the visitors through the unit. They presented key field data, performance metrics, and notable breakthroughs in survivor support programs that have been made possible through international cooperation.
