Google map is the web mapping service which offers satellite imagery, street maps, 360 panoramic views of streets, real-time traffic conditions and route planning for traveling by foot, bicycle or from public transportation. There are millions and millions of small business around the world that are on the google maps. The user can add their business to Google Maps by starting a My Business Google+ account and confirming that you work for the company or own the business. When the user updates the business information through Google My Business, the user new business information will appear on Google Maps, Search as well as on Earth. Potential Customers will able to find information about the business, learn about the services and also write reviews that can help your business grow and gain credibility. To get your business on Google Maps following steps must be carried out.
Part1: Locating your business.
Step1: Here log into the Gmail account associated with your business. If you do not have a Gmail account associated with the company, create one. Then this account will be linked to Google My Business dashboard you are creating. But if you do not have a Gmail account, go to the www.gmail.com.
Step2: Type in the link www.google.com/business to go to Google My Business. Getting your business on Google, it will allow the users to give correct information about your business location, phone number, hours and also the service provided.
Step3: Enter it into the search section to find your business on Google Maps. Press enter to see the results for the industry. And select your company to create the new listing.
Step4: This step is carried out if your business does not appear in the search results. If Google does not have your business listed, you will need to add some details of your business as clicking the category under your business falls, correctly filling the details of location, etc.
Part2: Confirming Business
Step1: Check the box to confirm and then click continue.
Step2: After the above process Click on “Call me now” or “Verify by Mail.”
Step3: Click on “Enter code” box on top of MY Business dashboard. Here the code may be sent from the step2 process.
Part3: Creating your Business Google+
Step1: First take the tour of Google+ dashboard which helps in familiarizing you with Google+ platform for business.
Step2: Edit your business information which is located on top of the dashboard. It will help the customers to learn more information about the user’s business and view pictures of user business.
Step3: If the user wants to publicize events share news or give their customer information then use My Business Google+ platform. On dashboard scroll down to the red “g+ Share icon” and click an option to share an update.
