While we chat, browse, emails and text retailers begin to discover ways to harness are growing love affair with the phone. Consumers are already using their phones the shopping aid and are making purchases with their smartphones and using them to compare prices and even change their mind in store as a result of mobile related activity. How many smartphone owner use their mobile device to buy a product or service clearly smartphone is now a central part of the shopping experience for many people. In 2012 the top purchases made by smartphones in EU included clothes and accessories books and consumer electronics but our business is ready to engage with consumers and make M-Commerce reality evidence suggests not yet and this can have a direct impact on consumer loyalty and trust. For example 52% global consumers surveyed lower their opinion of a brand because of poor mobile experience. Research shows applications have yet to catch up with what consumers what shoppers to use smartphones to buy online but find the process clunky and confusing size is also a factor. It needn’t be this way websites can be optimized for mobile. The global mobile wallet market is predicted to reach $1600 billion dollars by 2018. Ultimately the future of retail will be defined by people power intelligent communication and seamless experience with consumers moving smoothly between different channels and devices often at different stages of the purchase process and fulfillment remains a crunch.
