A smartphone is a very important part of our personal life now. Our personal life is surrounded by the phones that we carry in our pockets. In fact, our gallery holds every moment of our life in the form of photos and videos.

On the other hand, some pictures or videos we want to keep private out of the gallery. But it might be difficult if your phone falls into the wrong hands. For instance, while showing recent pictures to our friends. We can be unaware of their true intentions. Therefore, it’s always a good idea to hide them.

It’s always easier to lock the gallery to avoid such situations. Yet, for the above case, there’s no way to control what a person might swipe next.

Meanwhile, other options include using either device-built-in settings or using a third-party app. This method can hide the photos and videos from the gallery.

Confused about how to do it? Here are some steps you can follow.

  • Samsung (OneUI)

Samsung has a Secure Folder, an encrypted space where you can store all your photos, videos, and files. Firstly, set up Secure Folder from Settings -> Biometrics and Security -> Secure Folder.
