If your INBOX is full of junk emails, here are the tips to get rid of the problem in minutes

Electronic mail is a method of exchanging messages between people using electronic devices.

Emails are flexible and can be used for giving instructions, serving as documentation, providing confirmation, communicating rules and procedures, making recommendations, providing a status update, making an inquiry.

Is your Gmail often filled with promotional or spam mail? Many times we accidentally subscribe to a service and then its mails start coming.

Spam emails are unsolicited messages, usually sent out for advertising purposes. However, some of these emails are also designed to steal your personal information, like your bank details.

If you’re tired of receiving these kinds of messages here are some tips to get rid of such emails and clear the inbox.

Stop emails like this:

  • If a sender or email sender is blocked, its message goes to spam.
  • Open Gmail on your computer or laptop.
  • Go to the email message of the person you want to block.
  • You must click on the peacock in the upper right corner of the mail.
  • Then click on the Block (Sender Name) option.
  • If you accidentally blocked someone, they can still be blocked by this process.

If you are signed in to a similar site that sends multiple emails, you can unsubscribe.

  • After opening Gmail, open Mail from the sender of such mail.
  • Unsubscribe or Change preferences will be given along with the name of the sender. Click on it.
  • If you do not see this option, you can block the sender via the above method.
  • Keep in mind, if you unsubscribe from Mail, it may take a few days to unsubscribe completely.

Gmail also tries to keep spam out of the inbox. But sometimes spam messages keep coming. Do this to get over it.

  • Open Spam Mail.
  • Tap Report Spam at the top of the page.
  • A copy will be available to Google if any mail is reported as spam or manually sent to a spam folder. This copy is analyzed by the company and protects users from such emails.

If a suspicious email appears in your inbox asking for your personal information, such mail may be reported as phishing. Here’s how:

  • After opening Gmail, go to the mail that contains the query.
  • Click More in the top right corner of the fair.
  • Then tap Report Phishing.
