Huawei announced Huawei Honor 5X smartphone on October 2015 and released it on November the same year that comes up with an Android OS v5.1.1(Lollipop) and planned to upgrade to v6.0 (Marshmallow). This phone has a dimension of 151.3 x 76.3 x 8.2 mm (5.96 x 3.00 x 0.32 in) with 8.2mm thickness and weighs about 158 g (5.57 oz).
This phone supports HSPA/ GSM/ LTE network configurations. It uses Nano-SIM technology with Optional Dual SIM (Nano-SIM/ Micro-SIM, dual stand-by). The display is of 16M colors and has IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen. The screen size is 5.5 inches, and the screen-to-body ratio is 72.2%.
The screen resolution is 1080 x 1920 pixels which are precisely 401 PPI pixel density. It supports multitouch and comes up with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection with Emotion UI 3.1. It has got Qualcomm MSM8939v2 Snapdragon 616 chipset, and CPU comprises of Octa-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 processors. The GPU used is Adreno 405. It also supports micro SD slot that could be upgraded up to 128 GB dedicated slot.

The primary camera features include Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama, and HDR. The video feature is 1080p@30fps and HDR. The microphone jack is 3.55mm with DTS sound technology and has got stereo loudspeakers.
The WLAN supported are Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wifi Direct and hotspot. The Bluetooth version is 4.2, A2DP. It does not support NFC connection. It also has an FM radio. The USB available is v2.0 micro USB. It also comes with fingerprint, compass, accelerometer, gyro and proximity sensors. The messaging can be performed via MMS, SMS threaded view, Email and Push mail. The GPS technology is A-GPS, BDS, GLONASS. The browser is HTML5.
The battery used is a Non-removable Li-Po 3000 mAH battery that gives 76h endurance rating. The colors available are White, Black and Gold. The main disadvantages of this phone are there is no NFC connection, no 5 GHz Wifi, no fast charging or wireless charging and nonmarshmallow update yet.
