Hult Prize is a global startup accelerator event that is organized all over the world in various phases. The yearlong celebration takes place in multiple colleges, universities around the globe with participation from the massive number of students representing these institutes. The theme for Hult Prize is different each year-round, and the 11th annual challenge demands the students to create a business that has a positive impact on the environment, with the theme being ‘Bold Business for a Better Planet.’
Hult Prize at IOE Pulchowk Campus is one of the many on-campus rounds of the Hult Prize and has been an on-going top-level startup idea pitching event in Nepal for three years. The students from the IOE Pulchowk Campus take full responsibility of organizing a grand on-campus round to select one winner that is sent to compete in the regionals. The teams from various colleges within the Tribhuvan University take part to become a Change Maker and make a mark on a global scale. The core team organizing the event hosts various info-sessions in different colleges under the university and looks to spread the news for maximum participation. Hult Prize at IOE Pulchowk had an interactive and fruitful info session at Advanced College of Engineering and Management (ACEM), Kupondole Road, Lalitpur, on the 29th of Kartik, 2076. The team from Pulchowk Campus coordinated with the campus representative of ACEM- Alpha Sharma for the event.
The speakers Ashlesh Pandey, Prasiddha Bhandari, and Arpan Pandit interacted with the students of first, second, and third years of the college about the Hult prize and its various aspects. The audience of more than 30 was keenly attracted to the matter, with questions about the significance of Hult Prize, Methods of Participation, the achievements of Hult prize, it’s status in 2020, the themes, and mostly about the 2020 challenges being asked. The queries were given proper addresses, and the session concluded successfully. The info-session at ACEM was the first of many that will be held over time.
