NCIT is all set to create waves in the entas the esteemed host of the upcoming Hult Prize NCIT competition, a platform that promises to kickstart student innovation on an international scale.

The HULT PRIZE, with its theme defying all restrictions this time; UNLIMITED, is encouraging all the enthusiast students to move forth along an exciting opportunity to showcasing innovative ideas and the entrepreneurial spirit beyond limits. The participants are offered with a wide range of resources to align their ideas with, and the best idea will be chosen from each campus to move on to the regional level. Once you win the OnCapmus level, you will get to compete at the global level, with the ultimate prize being $1 million.

Apart from the monetary reward, the HULTPRIZE competition also hones the participants’ skills in addressing the issues from any of the seventeen Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This gives the students an opportunity to tackle real-world issues and contribute towards a better future. The competition requires teams of 3-5 members, with the flexibility of collaborating with a member from outside the campus or other university as well.

Recognizing the importance of the HULTPRIZE competition, Nepal College of Information Technology is actively encouraging its students to take part. The Hult Prize NCIT has taken various initiatives to support and motivate the students. To kickstart the process, a grand Information Session was conducted on December 11th, 2023, where students were given an overview of the overall roadmap of the HULTPRIZE competition. This session was graced by some renowned speakers: Ms. Eeda Rijal, an accomplished Entrepreneur and Co-founder at Covid Connect Nepal and Sochware, and Mr. Samundra Paudel, Founder and President of Alternatives Nepal, who shared their entrepreneurship ideas and motivated the students to think outside the box.

Students are actively preparing for the competition, each vying for impressive rewards, including gift hampers and certificates. However, the ultimate champions will not only earn esteemed recognition but also a substantial cash prize. With the esteemed support and guidance from NCIT college, the participants are set to shine at the grand finale.
