inDrive Celebrates Kathmandu’s Bargaining Culture with “Rate Milau, Momo Khaau” Campaign
2nd June 2026, Kathmandu
inDrive, a global mobility and delivery platform, successfully concluded its three-day street activation campaign, “Rate Milau, Momo Khaau” across key locations in Kathmandu, engaging hundreds of participants through an interactive cultural experience inspired by Kathmandu’s everyday bargaining culture.

The campaign was designed to boost awareness among Kathmandu’s urban youth by showcasing inDrive’s core feature, allowing riders to propose their own fares, while drivers have the freedom to accept, decline, or make a counteroffer in a relatable and engaging local context.
Built around the campaign message, “Ride on your terms, only with inDrive,” the activation highlighted how inDrive empowers users with greater freedom and flexibility by enabling passengers to propose their own fare directly through the app, while allowing drivers to respond with their preferred price before both parties mutually agree on the final fare.
Through branded momo stalls set up across Bagbazar, Janabahal, Pimbahal, and Thamel, participants took part in bargaining-themed challenges, interactive games, including wheel spins and bargaining challenges that reflected Kathmandu’s culture of negotiation. Visitors who completed the challenges successfully won free Momo and exclusive inDrive merchandise.
The activation was conducted across four high-footfall locations in Kathmandu:
Bagbazar (near KMC)
Janabahal (Aryaloketeshwor)
Pimbahal (near Ashok Chaitya)
Thamel (near Sanchaya Kosh Bhawan)
The activation generated strong on-ground participation with approximately 2,400 people engaged, alongside organic social media engagement, particularly among young commuters and students, while showcasing inDrive’s focus on fairness, freedom of choice, and transparent pricing.
“Kathmandu has always had a strong culture of bargaining – whether in local markets, neighbourhood shops, or everyday transportation. Through ‘Rate Milau, Momo Khaau ’ we wanted to celebrate that familiar behaviour in a fun and engaging way while helping people better understand how inDrive works,” said Rita Pokharel, Country Representative, inDrive Nepal.
“The response we received across all four locations was incredibly encouraging. It showed us that young commuters in Kathmandu strongly connect with the idea of having more choice and flexibility in their daily travel experience, while also ensuring that the drivers have a fair opportunity to decide which fares work best for them.”
Campaigns like this help us engage with communities in ways that feel locally relevant, relatable, and meaningful, while continuing to promote our core philosophy of fairness and freedom of choice.
