Infinix has stepped in the Nepalese smartphone market with the launch of Hot 9 Play. Reputed as a brand that offers amazing specs at an affordable price, its latest Hot 9 Play is available under 12k budget. So, let’s dig deeper into the specs, features, availability, and price of the Infinix Hot 9 Play in Nepal.

Infinix Hot 9 Series Overview

You may have noticed that we mentioned “series” in this sub-topic. Yes, there are actually three smartphones from Infinix in the Hot 9 series. These are the Infinix Hot 9, Hot 9 Pro, and obviously, the Hot 9 Play.

Design and Display

Starting with the design, it has a polycarbonate material but gives a metallic illusion. Physically, the Infinix Hot 9 and Hot 9 Play are separable. At the back, the Hot 9 has a quad-camera setup, while the Play variant gets a dual-camera setup.

The front camera is placed on a punch hole on the upper left in the Hot 9. Meanwhile, the Hot 9 Play has an outdated dewdrop notch for this purpose.

Moving on to the display, the Infinix Hot 9 features a 6.6-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1600 x 7200 pixels. The Hot 9 Play has a slightly bigger display with a 6.82-inch screen and a resolution of 1640 x 720 pixels.

Camera

Let’s start with the Infinix Hot 9. The quad-camera setup on this smartphone consists of a 16MP wide lens, a 2MP Macro lens, a 2MP depth sensor, and a QVGA Low light sensor. It’s pretty much the same in the Hot 9 Pro, the only difference being the 48MP primary camera on the pro version.

Upfront, there’s an 8MP selfie shooter coupled with an LED flash on both Hot 9 and Hot 9 Play smartphones.

On the other hand, the dual-camera setup on the Hot 9 Play gets a 13MP primary camera with a low light sensor.

Both the smartphones have three LED flashes, while the entire Hot 9 series have a single flash on the front.

Performance and Memory

Under the hood, the Hot 9 and Hot 9 Play comes with an entry-level chipset, which is the MediaTek Helio A22. However, the processors are based on the region. This means that the Infinix Hot 9 Play that released in Nepal features Helio A22 but it is likely that Hot 9 may come will Helio P22.

Infinix Hot 9 Pro, on the other hand, is equipped with MediaTek Helio P22. Furthermore, all three smartphones in the Hot 9 lineup have IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU for graphics.

The Hot 9 Play is available for purchase in Nepal with a 2/32GB memory configuration. Meanwhile, the other two smartphones in the series might come with a 4/64GB configuration.

Battery and Extras

The Hot 9 Play sports a massive 6000mAh battery, which is quite impressive given the price. On the other hand, Infinix Hot 9 and Hot 9 Pro are powered by 5000mAh battery.

Infinix Hot 9 Series Extras

Sadly, there’s no fast charging support but we could let that one slip by considering the budget price on these smartphones.

As far as the UI is concerned, the Hot 9 and Hot 9 Pro run on Infinix’s own XOS UI 6.0 based Android 10. Meanwhile, the Play variant features the Android 10 Go edition.

The connectivity options include Dual-SIM, 4G, WiFi, and Bluetooth 5.0.

For security, both the Hot 9 and Hot 9 Play devices have face recognition and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
