The fourth edition of the Nepal International Film Festival ‘NIFF’ has begun on Thursday.
On Thursday, Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap has shared his filmmaking experience at the festival. This year the festival was organized virtually due to the second wave of Covid-19 in Nepal.
Representatives of film-related organizations have wished the festival well during its inaugural session. The festival was organized under the slogan “Festival of World Stories.”
According to festival organizer KP Pathak, the festival was organized virtually to convey that the epidemic has not weakened our morale.
Many films will be shown at the festival, introducing Nepali films and filmmakers to the international film community. And filmmakers use films to spread Nepali art, culture, and tourism around the world.
Dayaram Dahal, Chairman of the Film Development Board, Dr. Ram Kumar Phuyal, artist Nir Shah, Tulsi Ghimire, and others shared their views on film, literature, and music.
On Friday, the festival will feature film screenings and debates about Nepali cinema.
