Strengthening Nepal–Japan Investment: IRGDD Meets Japan’s Keidanren in Tokyo

The International Relations and Global Diplomacy Dialogue (IRGDD), Nepal, led by Dr. Sarmila Parajuli Dhakal, held a high-level interaction with the International Cooperation Bureau of Keidanren in Tokyo.
IRGDD Meets Japan’s Keidanren
Keidanren, as Japan’s premier business federation representing over 1,500 leading companies and approximately 100 sectoral industry associations, plays a central role in shaping Japan’s economic policy, industrial strategy, and global business engagement.
During the meeting, Ambassador Dr. Dhakal highlighted Nepal’s evolving economic landscape, its commitment to creating an investment-friendly environment, and the importance of economic diplomacy in connecting policy with business.
She underscored the strong and trusted partnership between Nepal and Japan.
Keidanren appreciated the recent high-level visit from Nepal, and both sides emphasized the importance of continued high-level exchanges, frequent visits, and sustained policy-level dialogue to strengthen bilateral economic cooperation further.
The meeting was marked by constructive discussions on areas of mutual interest, including investment, technology, and industrial collaboration, and was appreciated by both sides as a meaningful step toward deepening Nepal–Japan economic engagement and people-to-people.
